Do you have grace in your life? Have you ever wondered what is grace? It might be hard to believe that you are deserving of it, so you might not have even thought of it. But we all can have grace in our lives no matter what terrible sins we have committed.
When we know what is grace, then we will know how powerful someone’s love is for you. There is no condition placed upon it and is given without merit. The grace of God is an amazing and powerful thing that most don’t really understand.

What Is Grace?

Grace is defined in many ways but the most common is an unmerited favor. Another way it is referenced is unconditional love. But what is grace in layman’s terms? It is when someone likes us even when we don’t deserve their love or mercy. They see beyond our faults and can see the good even when we can’t. That love isn’t something we have to work for or earn; it is given freely to us.

People search their whole life for someone like this. But there has been someone there for us all along. He has been waiting for us to look beyond our own sins and find hope in ourselves once again. He is God.
Here is scripture that explains grace in biblical terms.
But by the grace of God, I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

- 1 Corinthians 15:10 -

But by the grace of God, I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.1 Corinthians 15:10

WHY DO WE NEED GRACE?

We will always feel that we are undeserving of God's love due to our sins but we have God’s grace to help us through our pain and suffering. Keeping Him with us and following His words is how we make it through. We are not perfect, but we are the children of God and He loves us no matter what we have done. Once we accept Him in our hearts, we can then find peace.

Learning about the origin of grace will help us better understand what is grace.  We, unfortunately, had to let someone else suffer for our sins to see God’s grace and we must not forget it. It is good that we keep that in our thoughts as we learn more about what is grace for someone died to help us be loved even if we sinned.

The Beginning of Grace

The moment that Jesus, the son of God, took it upon Himself and died on the cross for our sins this was our introduction to grace.  This gift Jesus gave to us, that we didn’t deserve, was a chance to get to know God. To really have Him in our lives. We don’t deserve Him, but He is with us everyday showing us the way if we choose to follow.

When you think you are unloved, unwanted, broken and suffering God is with you. He isn’t just with us in good times but also bad as well. He picks us up with his grace and shows us the way. He doesn’t ask anything in return. This is truly the most incredible unconditional love anyone could ever ask for.

Grace Is Not Karma

With karma, you believe that if you continue to do good, then good things will happen to you. The same goes for if you do bad things then you will have bad things occur. This requires that you do something for each of these occurrences. That isn’t at all what grace is. You don’t need to do anything for grace to occur. This might be hard to really believe but it is true. Good things can happen to you when you live a life filled with grace.

HOW DO WE USE GRACE IN EVERYDAY LIFE?

This is a world that shows us that we must work to earn our reward. It is hard to fathom that it could be any different. That we could be given love without having to work for it. Some believe that grace is a game and has rules attached. This is far from the truth. Grace has no rules. It is not a game and you do not have to play it. It is a concept that is hard for most to comprehend and that is why those that do believe have quite a job to do in helping others believe.

A life in God’s grace is one that we can get strength from. We can help others learn what is grace because we love God and not because we want something from him. We can receive forgiveness from him without saying a word. All of us want to live a happy life and not one of sorrow and hate. Through his grace, we can help people from all walks of life for we ourselves were transformed.  Living a life of helping to restore other’s faith and to show them they too can be redeemed for their sins is not easy. Finding strength in God’s word daily will help you on your path.

But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they. Acts 15:11

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. Acts 20:24
Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands. Acts 14:3

And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified. Acts 20:32
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Romans 12:3
Therefore, as ye abound in everything, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also. 2 Corinthians 8:7
These are only a few scriptures on grace but they are ones that could help ease whatever this life has thrown at you. In addition, they can also help others to learn what is grace and get them to accept this love from God.

God shows us every day through His grace that He is there when we need Him. He believes that we will continue His work and show others how to live in grace because he bestowed his grace on us. It is hard for some to believe that someone could love us unconditionally, but He does. You don’t have to keep looking. He is there and will always be.

There is more one can do to help others find God’s grace. It starts with going to church on Sunday and really living the word of God. Take the grace that God has shown you and spread it to others. We all know we are not worthy and might resist this precious gift. But He will forever be there waiting for us with open arms.
